Tap dance is a form of dance that uses the sound of one\u2019s tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument.\u00a0 The sound is made by shoes with a metal \u201ctap\u201d on both the toe and heel areas of the shoe.\u00a0 There are two major variations of tap dance: rhythm(jazz) tap and Broadway tap.\u00a0 Broadway tap focuses more on the dance and is widely performed as part of musical theater.\u00a0 Rhythm tap focuses more on musicality.\u00a0 Our tap classes provide a combination of both styles so that students are well rounded and versatile in their tap skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
