Tap
Tap dance is a form of dance that uses the sound of one’s tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. The sound is made by shoes with a metal “tap” on both the toe and heel areas of the shoe. There are two major variations of tap dance: rhythm(jazz) tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses more on the dance and is widely performed as part of musical theater. Rhythm tap focuses more on musicality. Our tap classes provide a combination of both styles so that students are well rounded and versatile in their tap skills.
